EARTH VIBRATIONS
The Earth Vibrations collection is made from two different clay bodies, sliced, diced, rolled and smooshed into a nerikomi slab with coloured clay inlays. A balance of texture and time formed with a splash of wabi sabi. The Earth Vibrations began the night before a flood swept through my town destroying my home and causing trauma and destruction to my friends and community. This is how it has evolved over the last few years. The first pieces I made were part of a collection called I Want to go Home and was a deeply personal response to the swirly toxic aftermath, the many hands that held us and my deep desire to go home.
