Rhythm Pasta Bowl

Pasta bowl made from black and white clay. I spent a lot of time contemplating and testing the perfect bowl. Something that was small enough for breakfast cereal, deep enough for soup and wide enough for a pasta. It also needed to stack well. If I could only use one bowl it would be this shape 🖤

White Noise is a study in contrast and balance where nerikomi techniques weave black and white clay together in a rhythm of duality. Checkers, swirls and yin yang patterns are a base for a graphic, contrast-driven aesthetic rooted in balance, form and void. 

Made using the Japanese technique of nerikomi using high quality Australian black and white clays. After clay has been stained with different colours, individual patterns and blocks are created, sliced and laid out into a large slab. Finished with clear glaze. 

Hand built. A little wabi-sabi. Each bowl has some variations. You will receive one pictured or similar.
